The Burgeo District of South-West Newfoundland has been home to many ancestors, going back through the Bungay - and possibly other - families. Above, the map shows related villages - such as Port aux Basques, Rose Blanche (home of the Bungays), LaPoile (home of Hannah Taylor) and others.

Many of the families were, no doubt, fishing folk and would appreciate the modern memorial to their lives and livelihood.
